Valley Watchdogs
Former Speaker of the House Tip O'Niell summed it up best when he said, "All politics is local." In our group, we like to say if you can't change City Hall, you'll never change Capitol Hill! The goal of Lehigh Valley Watchdog Program is to have at least one group member in each voting precinct in both Lehigh and Northampton Counties. We are well on our way on achieving this goal and currently have over 300 watchdogs who are forming numerous local citizens groups who take turns attending their local school board, township/city council, and/or county council meetings to both represent the taxpayer and to be vigilent to any actions that these governmental bodies take that violate our Limited Government Resolution. In this way, we are able to alert the general public through emails, word-of-mouth, or flyer distribution, as early as possible so immediate action can be taken. Once you read about a tax increase in the paper, it's too late. That increase has been talked about for months at the meetings.
