Dimock Proud released a video this week highlighting the town’s landowners, residents, and business owners positive feelings towards natural gas development. The video is in response to an earlier misleading production, Marcellus Shale Reality Tour, by Scott Cannon, a member of the Gas Drilling Awareness Coalition (GDAC) out of Luzerne County. The only reality of Mr. Cannon's video was his purposfully intent to mislead the viewer about facts in Dimock. It made many claims and accusations, all of which were unsubstantiated; with some even being refuted by U.S. EPA testing conducted this year that has shown Dimock’s water to be safe. Citizens of Dimock, and others, attempted to get CNN to remove the video however the organization took no action. Dimock Proud's sensational video is an attempt to correct Mr. Cannon's illicit actions earlier this year.

More EPA Water Tests Show Water to be Safe

To support what are friends from Dimock Proud are saying, here is what EPA had to say:

EPA has completed and shared with residents and Pennsylvania state officials the third set of sampling at 16 private drinking water wells in Dimock, Pennsylvania. This set of sampling did not show levels of contaminants that would give EPA reason to take further action. At one well, EPA found elevated levels of arsenic and offered alternate water but the resident declined. EPA remains committed to providing Dimock residents with the best available data and information on the quality of drinking water as expeditiously as possible.
