Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights senior fellow Onkar Ghate discusses the Obamacare decision and explains why ONLY full repudiation of the moral code of altruism and self-sacrifice can save America now.  Dr. Ghate explains that the acceptance by BOTH the Republicans and Democrats of redistribution of wealth to obey the moral code of ALTRUISM will doom the United States to further degeneration into a socialist welfare state or dictatorship. There is nothing wrong with individuals voluntarily choosing to contribute to private charity, but altruism is the exact opposite of this. Altruism is government force being used to compel an involuntary redistribution of wealth based on politicians’ whims, totally ignoring the free choices of the individuals being compelled.
